Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Dorqelin collects when you visit or buy from dorqelin.com, what we do with it, and what you can ask us to do about it. Dorqelin is a trading name of Eazy Trading International Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong SAR, and we are the controller of that information. Contact: info@dorqelin.com.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, email address, delivery address, billing address, what you bought, and the card brand with its last four digits. We never receive a full card number.
- When you email us: your email address and whatever you write, including any photograph you attach.
- When you sign up for email: your email address, and nothing else, until you unsubscribe.
- Automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, and which pages you viewed, collected by Shopify to run and secure the store.
Why we use it
- To take payment, pack your order and get it to the right address — our contract with you.
- To answer your emails and handle returns, damage claims and refunds.
- To detect and prevent fraudulent orders, and to keep the store working — our legitimate interest.
- To keep the accounting and tax records we are legally required to keep.
- To send you email about new designs, only if you have asked for it, and only until you unsubscribe.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks. We do not build profiles of you across other websites, and we do not run advertising trackers on this store.
Who else handles it
Only the parties needed to complete your order:
- Shopify, which hosts the store, processes checkout and stores order records on our behalf.
- Payment processors engaged through Shopify Checkout, which handle card details directly. We never hold them.
- Postal and courier services, which receive the delivery name and address.
- Government authorities, where the law requires disclosure.
Because we operate from Hong Kong and Shopify's infrastructure is international, your information may be stored or processed outside your own country, including in Canada, the United States and the European Union. Where we transfer information out of the UK or the European Economic Area we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms such as standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
The store sets cookies that are necessary for it to work: keeping your cart, keeping you signed in during checkout, and protecting against fraudulent activity. It also sets a small number of analytics cookies used by Shopify to report on store performance in aggregate. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but the cart and checkout will not work correctly without the necessary ones.
How long we keep it
Order and accounting records are kept for seven years, which is the retention period that applies to us. Email correspondence is kept for two years. Marketing subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, and the record of the unsubscribe is kept so we do not email you again by accident.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to another provider. You can withdraw consent to marketing at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us. Asking us to delete order records does not override the accounting records we are legally required to keep.
Email info@dorqelin.com to exercise any of these. We answer within 30 days and we do not charge for it. We may need to confirm your identity first, usually by writing back to the email address on the order. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data in Hong Kong, or to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
This store is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
Card details go directly to a PCI DSS Level 1 certified processor over an encrypted connection and are never stored on our side. Access to order records is limited to the people who need it to pack and support orders. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected customers promptly if a breach ever puts their information at risk.
Changes
If this policy changes we will publish the new version here and update the date at the top.
