FAQ
The questions we actually get
If yours is not here, email us. A person reads it and answers, usually inside a business day.
Ordering and delivery
How long does delivery take?
Standard to the United States is $4.95 and usually three to six business days once the parcel leaves us. Express is $12.95 and usually two to three. Orders are packed within two business days; we do not pack on weekends or Hong Kong public holidays, so an order placed on Friday evening leaves on Monday or Tuesday.
Is it tracked?
Yes, both rates. The tracking number is in the dispatch email. It can take a day to start showing movement, which is normal and not a lost parcel.
Do you ship outside the US?
Yes. $11.99 standard and $23.99 express, anywhere we can reach. Times vary too much by destination for us to quote one honestly. Any customs charge is the recipient's, though at these values it rarely comes up.
Can you post the card straight to the recipient?
We can send it to any address you enter, but we cannot write in it and we do not include a note. The card arrives blank in its envelope, so this only works if you want the recipient to receive an unwritten card.
The cards themselves
Is anything printed inside?
No. Every card is blank inside. That is deliberate and it is not something we can change per order.
Does an envelope come with it?
One cream envelope per card, cut to that card's size, in the same mailer. Gummed rather than self-seal.
Which cards have gold foil?
Three: Paper Hearts, Two of Us and Confetti Birthday. They are on 320gsm rather than 300gsm and cost $11.00 instead of $8.50. The foil is stamped, so it reads as plain gold head-on and only lifts at an angle.
How big is a Mini?
105 × 148 mm, which is A6 — roughly the size of a postcard. Good Egg, Just Because and Hello Little One are Minis at $6.50. If you want room to write a paragraph, buy a Standard instead.
Will the colour match my screen?
Close, but the inks sit into an uncoated sheet, so the plums and corals read slightly deeper in the hand than on a monitor. Care & Materials goes into it.
If something goes wrong
My card arrived creased.
Email a photo to info@dorqelin.com and we will send a replacement. We do not ask for the damaged card back — posting it costs more than the card.
Can I return a card I changed my mind about?
Thirty days, provided it is unwritten and in the state it arrived. Return postage is yours unless the card was faulty. Full terms on the refund policy.
Do you do bulk or wedding quantities?
Not yet. We have no trade pricing and no minimum-order machinery, so a hundred of one design costs a hundred times the shelf price. If that is still useful to you, email us and we will tell you honestly whether we can pack it in time.
